Steve McCarthy

Lymm is fortunate in having the services of Steve McCarthy as it's PGA Professional golfer.

Steve turned pro in 1980 and was assistant here at Lymm between 1980 and 1984, he had already done twelve months work club making for renowned club maker Terry Gilbert.

He returned to Lymm as pro in 1991 a year which saw Steve become the Manchester and District stroke play champion.

In 2007 Steve was given the honour of becoming the North Region P.G.A. Captain, a very prestigious position for any golf professional.

Steve has continued to provide a friendly informative and professional service to Lymm Golf Club through building a great rapport with members and visitors alike.

Steve is ably assisted by Paul Verrinder (better known as Fizzer), and you can be assured of receiving a warm welcome and professional service from them both whatever your golfing needs.

Our professional shop is well stocked with all major branded equipment providing a great choice for golfers of all standards.

We also have a full custom fitting service with our own loft and lie machine which enables us to custom fit your clubs to exact specifications for you.
